16. There are still genuine people in the world.

This one’s all about the people. I’m sure you’ve met all kinds of different people in your life so far. And some of them might have given you really hard time. The older I get; the less people seem genuine in my eyes. Well, some of them. When you’re a little child, you pretty much see the world differently. It’s a beautiful perspective that needs to be properly enjoyed while it lasts. But usually as you get older, the ugly truth seems to ruin some parts of this perspective. Suddenly you see there are murders, betrayals, terrorist attacks and so on. It makes you wonder if the darkness in people have always been there. Is the world even good?

Maybe, just maybe you stop believe in humanity. You get let down too many times for the faith to come back. Suddenly you notice that the faith’s bruised if it came back. And even though these lines may have been dark and upsettingly true, I don’t want you to ever lose hope. Hope that there are good people among the cruel ones. It’s extremely difficult to know for sure. Not one person is 100% good. That’s just nonsense. But I still believe we should try to be good and polite to each other.

Of course, you get hurt (and not only once) in your life but you must go on. The show simply must go on and you need to be the star in your own eyes. How to make that happen is that you behave well and have respect for others, for people and animals around you. Inspire them to be respectful as well. Appreciate what you have and try to see the positive side because there is always more than one point of view. Don’t lose faith in humanity, don’t lose it in yourself.
