The Way

Everything’s twisted, upside down.

Never expected it,

The flame of desire is lit,

Since when? I frown.

As I’m observing you doing simple daily tasks,

I feel as I’m sinking deeper into the feeling.

My heart wants to scream those three words, silently bleeding.

We’re not wearing any disguise or masks.

You already feel like home,

so why should I leave the comfort you provide?

I don’t want to get off this rollercoaster ride,

on your heart I took a loan.

Paid with my soul,

now I’m in a debt called love.

Lights on or off,

with your presence I feel whole.

The way your eyes shine when you’re productive,

your soul is on fire,

my self-doubt demon was a liar

because our heartbeats couldn’t be any more active.

There’s so much passion in your voice,

when you go on about something you like.

In my relationships, you’re the strike.

The other ones I’ve dated? Only little boys.

The way you make me laugh,

My anxiety’s not on the rise,

My body’s relaxed, no worried eyes,

finally being myself is more than enough.

The caring spark in your blue eyes

when you look after me

I’m drowning in the ocean of beauty, I can’t see.

Everything’s truthful, no lies.

Knowing both of us were going to fall,

We opened up each other’s hearts

like two pieces of unique arts.

We clicked as fast as two fans of football.

Two different languages

and soon miles between us.

All we will rely on will be trust,

Leaving you will cause emotional damages.

The chemistry I feel for you,

I hope it won’t ever fade away,

We’ll see each other again someday.
